Mister Fisk finds the Interweb

Can anyone hear me?

So we'd be the first to admit that spending all our time in the studio hasn't exactly made for cool blog entries.  But really, we're here to turn over a new leaf.  Are you ready?  Are you reading?  Is anyone out there?

If you are, you'll be happy to know we have a slew of new tunes in the pipeline.  They are up on the site right now and we're hoping you'll agree that they have a little bit of everything.  And now it's time to gig.  So, stay tuned...

Is this thing on?

Mister Chris Fisk here...we just added three tasty photos of Mister Fisk in action.  OK, so maybe they're more like snap shots, but what can you do, right?  On a more serious note, Mister Fisk is preparing to enter the studio for a long weekend of recording in April.  It's likely that several off color comments will be made, songs will be recorded and re-recorded and then re-worked and recorded again, and we will all rely on the wisdom of Mister Erik Fisk, who's done a million recording sessions.

Yes, yes, life is good in the land of Fisk.  For those history buffs out there, many of you may not know that once upon a time Mister Fisk was known as The Furbelows.  It wasn't meant to be obscene, we just thought it was funny - and the fact that a furbelow is the frilly part of a tuxedo shirt just added to the thrill.  But thing is...too many folks thought we meant something other than an innocent band name, which rolled off the tongue quite nicely I might add.  We realized it might be an issue when for two gigs in a row our band name was "mistakenly" mispelled on the reader board of a bar we love and so will not mention.  Go figure.  Fubalows?  What?

Safe to say we went back in time, added a Mister and here we are:  Mister Fisk.  We like it.  We hope you will too.

Putting words into people's mouths

I learned a great trick from a psychologist, in a group family session years ago.  If someone isn't speaking up, put words into their mouth that they wouldn't want to be saying.  That gets the person to speak up quickly.

Mister Erik Fisk is a far better word-smith than I (Mister Scott Fisk).  But if I post ramblings here, I will essentially be putting words into his mouth, spurring him to pen better words here.

So new beginnings: Obama, and a brighter future for the USA and the world.
